Ratings: Broadcast Finals for December 11, 2012

TAKE IT ALL posted 7.18 million viewers and a 2.2 demo rating, nearly identical to the previous night's premiere. This could be good news for NBC if the rest of the week can maintain these ratings, or better. NBC will need all the help it can get in January when it loses both Football, for the rest of the season, and THE VOICE until March.

ABC and FOX are struggling so far this week. Between the two networks, only NEW GIRL has posted a demo rating at a 2.0 rating or better. The most watched program coming from either FOX or ABC was the annual airing of SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN, with 8.6 million viewers for ABC. It could get ugly once we get to the weekly ratings next week.

The CW posted usual rating for its sophomore series HART OF DIXIE, 1.4 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating. At 9:00 p.m. The CW aired A MUPPETS CHRISTMAS. Odd that they chose to air a kids special at 9:00 p.m., on a school night, and the ratings reflected that. Just 1.1 million viewers stayed tuned to the special. The CW would have been smarter to air an encore of one of its other dramas and save A MUPPETS CHRISTMAS for Friday night.

CBS's Tuesday was back to normal as all three series aired originals. Each was down slightly from their season averages.NCIS was the most watched program of the night with over 17.6 million viewers.
