Ratings: Broadcast Finals for November 22, 2012

Despite that it was the Thanksgiving holiday in America, The TV ratings were not all that bad. CBS aired two hours of comedy encores and they averaged a 1.8 demo rating and 6.9 million viewers. FOX gave us an original THE X-FACTOR at 8:00 p.m. and it was the top rated program (9 milllion viewers, 2.8 demo) until SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL came on at 8:30 p.m.

SNF easily won the night with 19.2 million viewers and a solid 7.2 rating in Adults 18-49. This was head and shoulders above last year'sThanksgiving prime time game, aired by THE NFL NETWORK, which drew 10.7 million viewers.

ABC and The CW basically gave up on the night, choosing to air low rated repeats for the majority of the night. ABC did air an original special, as filler, a 25th anniversary look at Michael Jackson's  album BAD. The special finished last in its time slot posting just 4.6 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating.
