Ratings: Broadcast Finals for November 21, 2012
CRIMINAL MINDS took the night in both measured categories with 11.5 million viewers and an A18-49 rating of 2.7. Despite that the night is the day Americans travel most on, the numbers were not far off from its season averages. The same is true for the lead out, CSI: It easily won its hour and was #2 overall for the night with 10.8 million viewers and a 2.4 demo rating. That is within 5% of the previous week's numbers.
CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING did well for ABC, getting 8 million viewers and a 2.2 demo rating. It was the networks most watched program on the night. Not a difficault feat since the rest was repeats or burn off programming.
THE X-FACTOR did run a regular 2-hour episode, but based on not only the nights ratings, but the numbers in recent weeks, the audience is giving up on the series. It may not get back up to a 3.0 demo rating again this season, until MAYBE, the season finale.
CW actually did a smart thing on the night. Program a holiday movie favorite. PLAINS TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES. It did not deliver the same numbers that original ARROW and SUPERNATURAL would have, but is on par with originals of most of the other CW programs, outside Thursday night.
