Ratings: Broadcast Finals for September 27, 2012
THE BIG BANG THEORY dominated the night with over 15.6 million viewers and an impressive 5.0 rating. That is slightly above its 2011 premiere, in the same time slot.PERSON OF INTEREST was up in viewers from last year, but was down slightly in the demo ratings. Not a good sign for the show since it rose in the ratings during the winter.
CBS is happy with the performance of the season premiere of ELEMENTARY. It not only rose from its lead in, in Adults 18-49, but it bested the time period from last year, when THE MENTALIST drew just a 2.8 rating.
Initially it looks as if LAST RESORT performed well for ABC at 8:00 p.m.(9.3 million, 2.2 rating), but when you compare it to last years premiere of CHARLIE'S ANGELS, in the time slot, LAST RESORT is only up a 0.1 in the demo ratings. Not a good sign.As for the rest of the evening, Everything else was down significantly, except GREY'S ANATOMY. It was up beyond 10% in both categories.
For the most part, it appears the first 4 days are off from the same week in 2011, but there have been a few bright spots.
