VIDEO: First Look at ABC's THE NEIGHBORS

THE NEIGHBORS looks to be just another family comedy, but the twist is that the new neighbors are ALIENS!!!

Here is what the show is about. Marty Weaver buys a new home only to discover that the neighbors are aliens masquerading as "suburbanites." The one thing the series does have going for it is that Jami Gertz is in it. I was a fan of her last comedy, STILL STANDING, and I hope THE NEIGHBORS can be just as good.

It has a sweet time slot, after MODERN FAMILY, and will have the last half hour of THE X-FACTOR, CRIMINAL MINDS and LAW and ORDER: SVU to compete against. This could be a decent show, but they REALLY need to recast the dad. He is horrible. He sticks out like a giant zit on the tip of a nose.  So far, the 9:30 slot is producing just OK rated shows. With that and how horrible the dad is, I'll give THE NEIGHBORS a 5 out of 10 to receive  a Christmas gift of a back 9 order from ABC.
