VIDEO: First Look at MALIBU COUNTRY

Reba McEntire is back and this time, she's on ABC! In MALIBU COUNTRY, her character's life reads like a country music tune: Her husband cheated on her and spent all of their money, and after she gets mad, she's going to get even.

Reba is an executive producer, along with Kevin Abbott (Last Man Standing). The fact that ABC has paired the two series together on Fridays should make a nice comedy hour with very similar audiences. It will compete for laughs with NBC as they have placed UP ALL NIGHT and WHITNEY in the same hour. But, NBC is going for a different audience, in general, than what ABC will attract with MALIBU COUNTRY and LAST MAN STANDING. I give this a solid 9 out of 10 to celebrate the New Year. ABC is back to basics and it should be successful.
