VIDEO: First Look at ABC's NASHVILLE

In the drama department, ABC is looking to the country. Country Music, that is.

NASHVILLE is about a legendary queen of country music struggles to maintain her place in the spotlight while dealing with an ambitious rising pop-country vixen who wants to knock her off the throne. Its a contemporary drama about love, power, money, family and music. Or, SMASH: Country Style. Musical Series is getting more popular and the creators of COP ROCK are pissed! 

NASHVILLE will have a tough road ahead of it with CSI and NBC's new entry CHICAGO FIRE against it. Also, this series may be a season too late. GLEE is fading and SMASH never completely hit, but country music fans are loyal. I give it a 6 out of 10 to be airing original episodes during the February sweeps.
