Summer TV, Not Much to Comment On

It has been two weeks since my last blog posting. I feel bad about it. I should be sharing info, news, stats, opinions and more, but there is just much out there this summer.

The broadcast networks have not done much since upfronts. The ratings are pretty much what you expect. There are a couple of good shows in originals, but you can't comment on them every day.

HOT IN CLEVELAND is the hit of the summer. it does what NBC should be doing... making funny comedies. Unfortunately, that is the only scripted series doing much new buzz.

TNT & USA are doing their usual good summer ratings. Unscripted series and competition shows are doing most of the business. CBS is doing well with its repeats.

Even though I have my DVR set for about a dozen summer series, I have not sat to watch anything since the HOT IN CLEVELAND premier. Podcasts have been more interesting. KEVIN POLLAK'S CHAT SHOW has had some great guests that include Paul Rude and Creig Ferguson. actually, if you are a fan of CF, check out his live appearance on THE NERDIST podcast from a couple weeks back.

So, hopefully the fall season will get here quick so things can get back to normal. In the mean time, enjoy summer TV.
