TOP 10: First to Be Cancelled in 2017-18 (Part 3)
We are five weeks into the 2017-18 season and things are starting to take shape at the bottom of the ratings chart. We have the first cancellation/lame duck series, with ABC's drama, TEN DAYS IN THE VALLEY taken off Sundays, effective Oct. 26, and being moved to Saturdays, starting December 16. So, theres is the updated list of the top 10 shows I think will either get cancelled, put on "Hiatus" or moved to the death night of Saturdays.
10) DYNASTY
Doing horrible ratings, but there are three other CW shows doing worse. It has earned a pink slip, but will the CW hand it out before the the end of the first 13 episodes?
9) KEVIN (PROBABLY) SAVES THE WORLD
ABC may wait until midseason before deciding the fait of the feel-good series.
9) VALOR
If the CW were to ever to pull a season before running out of episodes, VALOR would be that series. It does terrible in the key CW demographic, Adults 18-34.
7) THE EXORCIST
The ratings are very low, but where is the breaking point for FOX on this sophomore series?
6) THE MAYOR
Falls under 2.5 million viewers for Oct. 31 episode and retains about 60% of its BLACK-ISH lead in.
5) 9JKL
Things were looking decent for the freshman sitcom, but with the exit of ME, MYSELF & I, 9JKL will move from the 8:30 slot to the 9:30 slot, to fend for itself. After the initial 13 episodes, sy bye to 9JKL.
4) THE TOY BOX
I Cant see this series making to 2018 with the horrible ratings it generates, but ABC has many other problems on their schedule.
3) MARVEL'S INHUMANS
INHUMANS will be 13 episodes and done. It is just a matter of how long or quick ABC will take to air the initial order?
2) ME, MYSELF & I (up 3 spots - clinched)
CBS pulled the series from the schedule after the Oct. 30 airing and move up the season premiere of MAN WITH A PLAN for November 13. If/when the comedy returns, it will be in a dead time slot.
1) TEN DAYS IN THE VALLEY (up 2 spots - clinched)
Removed from Sundays, on October 26, and will begin airing on Saturdays on December 16.
