Ratings Review: CASTLE (Season Eight - Fall 2015)

CASTLE is not the ratings pull it once was. This first half of its eight season only produces one episode, the season premiere, that drew over 7 million viewers and it regular posted a low one rating in the A18-49 demographic. Its retention out of DWTS was also not as strong as previous seasons, losing about 50%, or more, in total viewership and over 40% in the A18-49 demo. Th series days may be numbered.

In the Live+SD ratings, CASTLE averaged 6.62 million viewers, a 0.6 rating in Adults 18-34, a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49, and a 1.5 rating in Adults 25-54.

In the Live+3 DVR ratings, the series added an average of about 2.9 million viewers and 0.7 points to the A18-49 demographic. By the Live+7 ratings, the total viewership averaged 10.4 million viewers (+58%) and a 2.0 rating (+82%) in the A18-49 demo.

The series returns to original episodes on February 1, 2016.
