Ratings Review: AMERICAN HORROR STORY (Season Four)

Was season four of AMERICAN HORROR STORY the least favorite of fans? The ratings may indicate it was as nearly half of them jumped ship by the time the season finale aired. Compared to Season three, the back half of the season was what lost viewers.

In season three a large majority of episodes pulled in low to mid-twos in the demo rating. This season, half fell to a mid one rating. Last season, viewership hovered around 3.5 million viewers. This season, it was in the low three million, with on episode dropping below that.

For the season, AMERICAN HORROR STORY averaged 3.85 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49, for the Live+SD ratings. The series is still a strong cable original, but it may be on the backside of its run. Season five is set for this October.
