Ratings Review: AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL (Cycle 21)

Cycle 21 of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL is in the books and the ratings were very kind, again. ANTM is the network's lowest rated series this fall. The numbers may have been worse had it not had a relatively good lead in, with WHOSE LINE" on Friday nights.

The series has barley made an impact in the ratings, the last few years. My guess is that it is easy and cheap to make, bringing a profit to the network, even with low ratings. There are cable programs that have been cancelled for better numbers than these.

For the season, ANTM average just 1.05 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49. With the success of the CW's freshmen drama's, I am surprised that ANTM was renewed for a 22nd cycle. Hopefully, the series will have a summer only run, staying away from the fall line up.
