As the government shutdown was looming, monday night, viewers clicked over to FOX NEWS to get the latest details on the budget stalemate. THE O'REILLY FACTOR (#6) and ON THE RECORD w/Greta Van Susteren (#10) were the only two news programs making the top 10 list.
Major League Baseball kicked off its post season with the one game Wild Card game, on TBS. The contest drew 2.9 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. It performed better than THE BIG BANG THEORY did last week, in viewership, but did not match the hot syndicated series in the demo ratings.
