CBS wins its second week in a row, thanks to solid numbers form the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament and a high rated edition of 60 MINUTES. The news magazine had a high profile interview that generated 22.1 million viewers and a 4.0 rating in Adults 18-49. It GREW out of its late college basketball game lead in and helped INSTINCT (#5) be the #1 scripted program of the week. CBS pushed 15 shows into the top 30, including all of Thursday and Friday night tournament games.
NBC and ABC were near identical in the weekly number, tying in the three demographic categories. NBC took the advantage averaging 500,000 more viewers than ABC. THE VOICE and the three CHICAGO series push lead the way for NBC, which had seven total shows in the top 30.
ABC also had seven programs in the top 30, with THE GOOD DOCTOR (#6) doing the best for the network. The much hyped new drama, STATION 19, premiered soft, ranking 32nd on the week out of GREY'S ANATOMY (#13).
FOX, again, finishes in fourth place, with 9-1-1 being the lone top 30 program for the network. Freshman medical drama, THE RESIDENT took the #44 spot, with all other shows ranking in the lower half of the chart.
