Top 100 Primetime Cable: January 1 - 7, 2018

ESPN's semifinal doubleheader of the College Football Playoffs dominated the weekly cable ratings, with both games drawing over 20 million viewers. The 5 PM game, bleeding over into primetime, was #1 with 25.9 million viewers and a 7.6 rating in Adults 18-49. The late game, starting at 9:22 PM, retained 20.4 million viewers and a 6.3 demo, well after midnight.

CURSE OF OAK ISLAND was the #3 show of the week and the top reality series, collecting 3.3 million viewers. FIXER UPPER (#8) was right behind it, with 3.1 million viewers. GOLD RUSH (#15) was the third and final show in the genre, within the top 20.

Just one scripted original program made the top 20, as the Hallmark Original Movie, LOVE ON THE SLOPES ranked 19th, with 2.7 million viewers. the next scripted original was MAJOR CRIMES, ranking 36th, with 2.2 million viewers.

The Rachel Maddow Show was the top news program, with two editions in the top five. HANNITY pushed four of his nights within the top 20, one more than Maddow.
