Top 15 Cable Sports Events: September 2 - 4, 2017, 2017

It was a three day, Labor Day weekend for sports fans that had about any and every sport to chose from, to watch. From auto racing, to soccer, golf, baseball and even tennis. But, with it being the first weekend of College Football, ESPN dominated the top eight spots, with six different games. The Tennessee vs Georgia game, was the top sports event, drawing 5.1 million viewers and a solid 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49.

ESPN also saw success from its US Open Tennis coverage, with five segments making the top 15. The ESPN2 coverage on Monday brought in 1.5 million viewers.

NBCSN and the Darling ton NASCAR RACE hauled in 3.1 million viewers on Sunday night, ranking second on the weekend. The Xfinity Race from the previous afternoon ranked 11th, with 1.1 million viewers.
