Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 08/20/2017

CBS edges out ABC for the Sunday night win, with BIG BROTHER dominating the night's ratings. The reality show brought in 6.4 million viewers, a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-34 and a 1.8 rating on Adults 18-49. it more than doubled up the next closest program in the A18-34 demographic and drew twice as many 18-49 year olds that the #2 show in the category. CBS also won the 7 PM hour in total viewers, but was last in the demo from 9 to 11 PM.

ABC did win the 9 and 10 PM hours, with new episodes of FUNDERDOME and $100,000 pyramid. Encores of AFV and CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD, from 7 to 9 PM, ranked second, behind CBS.

FOX and NBC had live sporting events in primetime. NBC's US Women's Gymnastics Championships was third from 7 to 9 PM. FOX's coverage of the US Amateur Golf Championship was not only last at 7 PM, but was the lowest rated program of the evening. FOX edged out NBC for third place, at 9 PM.
