Final Broadcast Ratings: October 10, 2016
The CW premiere of SUPERGIRL collected a relatively strong 3.1 million viewers, a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-34 and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49. Now, obviously, it is WAY off from the series premiere, on CBS, last fall, but compared to what the CW has placed on Monday Nights, for many seasons, it is about three time the audience for the time slot. Also, when you compare it to last week's THE FLASH premiere, viewership is off by less than 200,000 and the A18-49 demo is two-tenths of a point less. SUPERGIRL also beat GOTHAM in the A18-34 demo and tied it in the A18-49 demo.NBC won the night, with another solid showing from THE VOICE, but viewership is down by 450,000. TIMELESS lost 1.4 million viewers and 20% in the demo, from last week's premiere. TIMELESS also lost more than 50% of the A18-49 demo, from its THE VOICE lead in, and the other two demographics are near that same figure.
CBS' season premiere of 2 BROKE GIRLS did about as expected. It was #2 in the 9 PM hour, in the A18-49 demo, beating DANCING WITH THE STARS. The premiere also bested last year's premiere, gaining a tenth of a point in the A18-49 demographic.
FOX barely took the 4th place spot for the night. Had the CW not aired an encore of NO TOMORROW, at 9 PM, FOX may have ended the night in fifth place.
