Final Broadcast Ratings: September 12, 2016

The 2016-17 season is ramping up and ABC is taking an early lead, before the official start of the season. The season premiere of DANCING WITH THE STARS was the #1 show of the night, in every category, including a solid 12.2 million viewers. The 2016 premiere was below last year's premiere, by one million total viewers and 20% in the A18-49 demo. The season finale of the game show, $100,000 PYRAMID lost over half the viewers, but was near double that of last week's MISTRESSES ratings.


With the season finale of AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR, NBC was a solid #2 on the night. ANW collected 5.9 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in the A18-49 demo, staying mostly flay, from last week's ratings. RUNNING WILD was up, week-to-week, with 3.6 million viewers.

With the season finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: THE NEXT GENERATION, FOX placed fourth on the night, behind an mostly encore night for CBS. SYTYCD has been pulling horrible numbers for the past few seasons, but still returns for another summer each time.
