The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #90:
With two nights of NFL Football, NBC dominates the weekly ratings, nearly tripling its next closest competitor. The Opening Night, Thursday, game was the #1 program of the week, drawing 25.2 million viewers and a robust 9.4 rating in Adults 18-49. The regular Sunday night game was down a couple of million, at 23.1 million viewers and a 8.4 demo. NBC took eight of the top eleven spots, seven which are NFL related programming. The other three programs were the COMMANDER-IN -CHIEF (#6) political forum and two nights of AMERICa'S GOT TALENT (#9 & #11). The NFL accounted for 1/3 of NBC's schedule.
ABC was second in the ratings, except for the younger demos, ranking third behind FOX. The network's top program was CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD (#15), with 6.7 million viewers. However, it is the Saturday Night College game that elevated the network to second, as the game ranked 23rd overall, with 5.6 million viewers and a 1.6 demo rating. ABC only had five shows in the top 30.
FOX took second in the younger demos, thanks to an hour of NFL Programming on Sunday night, a decent showing for the premiere of SON OF ZORN, following the game and a way-above average night for the Sunday comedy encores.
CBS ran its regular schedule, filled with encores and season finales of mediocre summer series. the two-hour ZOO finale ranked just 33rd and the two-hour AMERICAN GOTHIC finale, on the following night, ranked 58th. CBS placed just seven shows in the top 30.
