Primetime Cable Ratings: August 28, 2016

FEAR THE WALKING DEAD holds off the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards to be the #1 program of the night. The second season zombie series collected 3.7 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in Adults 18-49, on par with last week's summer premiere.

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards posted the night's top demo ratings, getting a 1.8 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 2.2 rating in Adults 18-34. Year-to-year the VMS lost 2.7 million viewers and over 30% in the A18-49 demographic.
