Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 08/02/2016

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT continues to roll for NBC, leading it to a Tuesday night sweep in the ratings. The veteran competition series, just recently renewed for 2017, collected a strong 11.3 million viewers and a 2.4 rating in Adults 18-49., which is up slightly from Last Tuesday's ratings. A second night of RUNNING WILD WITH BEAR GRYLLS had no problem winning the 10 PM hour. The 5.3 million viewers and 1.4 rating in the A18-49 demo, is up from Monday's premiere by 67% in viewers and 27% in the demo.

BACHELOR IN PARADISE premiered to decent numbers, grabbing 4.6 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in the A18-49 demo. It finished second, on the night, in the three demographic categories, but third, behind NCIS, in viewership. Compared to last year's premiere, it is up by one million total viewers and 27% in the demo.

CBS was third, with just the one hour of ZOO being original content. The summer drama is up 10% in the viewers and a tenth of a point in the demos.

If the numbers hold up in finals, The CW will top FOX in the ratings. The CW drew more viewers and a better A18-34 demo rating, while tying FOX in the two older demo categories. But, Th CW numbers do fluctuate because of local preemptions.
