Final Broadcast Ratings: August 23, 2016

NBC continues its winning streak, with the return of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT. The talent competition series hauled in 11.3 million viewers and a 2.4 rating in Adults 18-49, for its first night back after the Olympics. this is only a tick down from the Tuesday before the Olympics, but mostly on par. After AGT, NBC gave us a new series, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. It held onto 7.4 million viewers and a 1.6 demo rating, from its lead in. A good, but not great, start for the summer series.

CBS edges ABC for second banana on the night, with solid outings from encores of two of its NCIS series and a relatively solid performance from a new episode of ZOO. ZOO drew 4.8 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating, up from last week's episode and even from the August 2 episode, before the Olympics started up.

ABC's only bright spot of the night was BACHELOR IN PARADISE, which was the op show of the night, outside of NBC. What really hurts ABC is the 20Year retrospective of THE VIW. With just 2.7 million viewers and a 0.2 rating in Adults 18-34, it is the lowest rated show of the night, outside of the CW.

FOX was all-encore for the night, finishing a distant fourth on the night.
