Primetime Cable Ratings: July 27, 2016

It was more of the same with the cable news networks and the Democratic National Convention. CNN stays on top, with MSNBC not far behind and FOX News in third. The three networks take the top nine spots of the chart, a clean sweep.

After political coverage, reruns of THE BIG BANG THEORY take five of the next seven spots, including spots 10 - 12. The three hour block, on TBS, averaged 2.1 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in Adults 18-49.

The SyFy original movie, PLANET OF THE SHARKS, drew 1.04 million viewers, improving by 40-50% over the two previous nights of original Shark themes movies.
