CW Weekly Ratings: July 18 - 22, 2016

Another week, another poor summer performance from the CW. This week, viewership dropped from last week's 970,000 viewers, by 8 percent. Just three of the 10 hours programmed averaged higher then one million total viewers, two of which are claimed by PENN & TELLER: FOOL US.

Last year, the CW was more competitive, averaging 1.1 million viewers and noticeably higher marks in the three demographic groups.  PENN & TELLER, then on Monday nights, drew over two million viewers, one year ago, and WHOSE LINE was at 1.5 million viewers.

The spring series, CONTAINMENT, ended its run, drawing just 850k for the final episode. The encouraging part was that the limited series did grow out of its lead in, in most weeks this summer.

For the week, the CW averaged 890,000 viewers, a 0.2 rating in Adults 18-34, and a 0.3 rating in both the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics.
