Twitter Scores NFL rights:
Twitter out bid Amazon, Verizon, Yahoo and Facebook for exclusive global rights to the 10 game Thursday Night Football Package. [LINK]



Starz going OTT:
Following HBO and Showtime, STARZ is going direct to consumers with an $8.99 per month subscription service. Subscribers will get four simultaneous streams and the ability to download programs for offline viewing.



FOX picks up mocu-mentary comedy:
Fox has ordered 10 episodes of FAMOUS and will debut June 12. FAMOUS follows a young couple whose relationship is tested when one of them becomes a star overnight. The show is filmed in mock-documentary style at a couples therapy session.



THONES after show planned:
HBO will produce a GAME OF THONES after show, titled AFTER THE THRONES. The show will be similar in concept to TALKING DEAD, the after show for THE WALKING DEAD and FEAR THE WALKING DEAD. One difference for AFTER THE THONES is that it will be available the day AFTER an episode of the hit drama series.



BET acquires classic franchise:
BET had purchased the franchise and full library of episodes of the classic dance music series, SOUL TRAIN.



Amazon renews crime drama:
The Amazon Studios crime drama BOSCH has been renewed for a third season, for 2017.



Longest active running comedy get two more seasons:
FX has renewed the long running cult-comedy, IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, for a 13th and 14th season.
