Final Broadcast Ratings: April 5, 2016

CBS is the top network on Tuesday night ratings, winning the night in three of the four key categories. Strong returns for NCIS and NCIS: NEW ORLEANS lead the CBS to the win, being the top two programs in each category, except A18-34 where NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was third in the demo.

NBC edges FOX for second place, as THE VOICE was in recap mode, again. The hot series fell below an AMERICAN IDOL retrospective, on FOX, for a third place finish. Both CHICAGO franchises were up from last week, by a tenth in the A18-49 demo and by three tenths in the A25-54 demo.

FOX was above average with the AMERICAN IDOL retrospective as it averaged a 1.4 demo rating over the 90 minute program. Viewership was more than double what the comedies draw, collecting 6.0 million viewers.

ABC was a distant 4th place, with little traction from any of its shows.
