It another winning week for CBS, as the network seeps the key categories, mainly behind its regular programming schedule. THE BIG BANG THEORY was the #1 show of the week, collecting 14.2 million viewers. The ACM AWARDS placed sixth, with 11.2 million viewers, and was the network's only special programming of the week. In total, CBS placed five shows in the top ten and 16 in the top 30.
NBC edged out FOX for the #2 spot of the week. THE VOICE and LITTLE BIG SHOTS were NBC's only entries in the top 20, placing 4th, 7th and 5th, respectively. NBC pushed nine shows in the top 30, including the season finale of the crime drama SHADES OF BLUE, and all three CHICAGO series.
FOX showed some life with the return of EMPIRE to the schedule. The sophomore drama was #2 overall, grabbing 12.5 million viewers and the week's best A18-49 rating, a 4.8 score. AMERICAN IDOL placed 13th as the networks only other entry in the top 30.
ABC was 4th place on the week, with little to be excited about. DANCING WITH THE STARS was the #3 program of the week, but it had only two more entires in the top 30, GREY'S ANATOMY at #20 and SCANDAL at #25.
THE FLASH, on the CW, placed 15th in the A18-34 demographic and 26th in the A18-49 demo.
