Primetime Cable Ratings: March 7, 2016

There were two premieres and two finales in the Monday night ratings. For A&E the 4th season premiere of BATES MOTEL did respectable, but not great, numbers, bringing in 1.5 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in Adults 18-49. That is down 600,000 total viewers and a drop of 22% in the A18-49 demo, from last year's premiere.

Following BATES MOTEL, on A&E, was the series premiere of DAMIEN. That classic movie to series reboot did not have a good night. just 780,000, or 50% of its lead in, stayed with A& at 10 PM. DAMIEN's A81-49 rating, a 0.3, was less than half of that from BATES.

The season finale of LOVE & HIP HOP  was the #7 show of the night, drawing 2.3 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating. That is below last week's 2.5 million viewers and 1.4 demo rating.

The second season finale of ELLEN'S DESIGN CHALLENGE brought in 1.7 million viewers, for HGTV. Tat is down 700,000 viewers from season one's finale.
