Primetime Cable Ratings: January 29, 2016

FOX News took three of the top five spots in Friday night's cable ratings, including the #2 show of the night, THE O'REILLY FACTOR. The popular news program produced 3.2 million viewers at 8 p.m. THE KELLY FILE followed, at 9 p.m., with 2.7 million viewers, enough to secure the #3 spot, while HANNITY, at 10 p.m. , drew 1.7 million viewers for the #5 spot.

DISCOVERY took the remaining two spots of the top five, with GOLD RUSH taking both places. The original episodes, at 9 p.m. was the #1 show of the night, with 4.0 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating. It was the only cable program over a 1.0 in the A18-49 demographic. At 8 p.m., GOLD RUSH: THE DIRT kicked off the night with 1.8 million viewers. For the night, Discovery averaged 2.5 million viewers, just slightly less than FOX News' 2.6 million.
