Ratings Review: BLOOD & OIL (Season One)

BLOOD & OIL looked like a short run drama, when it was presented by ABC, in the 2015 May upfronts. It is a warn out format that few younger audiences care about and, based on the ratings, most older viewers had seen dozens of times. If the resurrection of DALLS couldn't last long on TNT, what chance did BLOD & OIL have on ABC?

In the Live+SD ratings, BLOOD & OIL averaged 3.90 million viewers, a 0.6 in Adults 18-34, a 1.0 in Adults 18-49, and a 1.2 rating in Adults 25-54. The numbers a bit inflated from reality, because of the first two episodes.

The DVR ratings would add about 1.3 million viewers tot the total and the A18-49 ratings would rise about 75%, from the L+SD numbers. Still poor numbers for the now canceled series.
