Final Broadcast Ratings: January 12, 2016

The Presidential State Of The Union Address took up half of the prime time schedule on FOX, NBC, CBS and ABC. Between the four broadcast networks, the drew about 18 million viewers and a cumulative A18-49 rating of a 4.2. But none for final ratings.

CBS and ABC gave us nothing but encores around the address. A repeat of NCIS was the most watched show of the night, with 11 million viewers. NBC aired a news program after the address and a new episode of HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT before, and that was enough to keep them tied with CBS. FOX only had an hour of programming affected, but NEW GIRL was enough to push the network to a rare Tuesday night win in the A18-34 and A18-49 demographics.

The CW did take advantage of night, airing the MadTV 20th Anniversary Special at 8 PM, and drawing 1.6 million viewers. At nine, a new episode of iZOMBIE collected 1.2 million viewers.
