Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 12/13/2015
NBC easily takes the Sunday night ratings, as SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL lead the way to the win. The game drew 18.7 million viewers and a 6.2 rating in Adults 18-49, slightly below last week's Colts vs Steelers game, final ratings. This is the fourth game, of the last five, that has drawn under 20 million viewers.
FOX closed out original episodes of its four comedies, in 2015, to help it take the #2 spot of the night. With an NFL lead in, the comedies were above the season average. THE LAST MAN ON EARTH is the only one of the four shows not directly returning in January, giving way to a new live action comedy on the night. Its fall finale held almost all of FAMILY GUY's lead in audience, but dropped near 25% of the A18-49 demo lead in.
CBS was the second most watched network on the night, but was a distant third place in the demo ratings. The fall finale of both MADAM SECRETARY and THE GOOD WIFE drew A18-49 ratings in the low ones, despite being two of the three most watched non-football programs of the night.
ABC was a non factor on the night, drawing low audience levels and small demo ratings. Only QUANTICO showed any signs of life, beating CSI: CYBER in all three demographics. The Series finale of BLOOD & OIL was tied CSI: CYBER for the least watched program of the night the smallest A18-34 rating.
