A new STAR TREK series coming in 2017:
CBS, the rights holder to STAR TREK, is developing a new series based in the STAR TREK universe, featuring new characters and new adventures. The twist to this announcement is that the series will not run on CBS, beyond the pilot episode. The new series will run exclusively on its streaming platform, CBS All Access. CBS is using its strongest, most recognizable property to push its online platform. For $6 a month, it is not a bad buy, especially for cord cutters. [LINK]
