CW Weekly Ratings: October 5 - 9, 2015

It was premiere week for The CW, and the ratings rise about 60% from last week's ratings. Seven of the ten fall series premiered this week, with THE FLASH grabbing the best numbers for the network. The sophomore action series hauled in 3.6 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49. Parent series to THE FLASH, ARROW, was the #2 series of the week., with about 900k less viewers than THE FLASH.

On the opposite end of the ratings, THE ORIGINALS tanked its season premiere, failing to grab even 900,000 viewers. it did worse than last years low series, REIGN, and REIGN airs on Friday nights. In fact, both vampire based shows pulled in pretty disappointing numbers.

Closing out their summer season, PENN & TELLER: FOOL US was below its season average, but considering the stiffer competition in the fall it did relatively decent numbers. The Summer sitcom SIGNIFICANT MOTHER, on the other hand, probably will not bee seen ever again.

For the week, The CW Averaged 1.62 million viewers, 0.5 rating in Adults 18-34, a 0.6 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 0.7 rating in Adults 25-54. Compared to The same week last year, the CW is down about 20% in total viewers and 25% in the A18-49 demographic.
