VH1 renews veteran series:
Before the 4th season premiere of BASKETBALL WIVES: LA, VH1 has given the series a 5th season commitment.



FX reups freshman comedy:
The summer freshman comedy SEX & DRUGS & ROCK & ROLL has been given a second season order of 10 episodes, in 2016.



Cord Cutting hitting ESPN hard:
as subscribers dump their traditional cable packages for less expensive alternatives, ESPN is starting to feel the pain. The sports network is laying off about 300 staffers and cutting its budget by $100 million in 2016 and $250 million in 2017. For each subscriber lost, ESPN loses about $6.60 a month. They report a loss of 3.2 million subs over the course of the last year or so and that results in a revenu loss of over $19 million per month, or $230 million per year.



TBS getting in to Gaming content:
The cable network is leading the way to bring the millions of young viewers who watch online gaming on TWITCH to TBS. TBS will have begin programming e-gaming shows in 2016, in two 10 consecutive week segments. They are also building a gaming center in their Atlanta studios.



Amazon announces new pilots:
Amazon Studios has six new pilots in the works, coming from such content producers like Louie CK, Sacha Baron Cohen and Diablo Cody. More details coming soon.



More MISTRESSES:
Despite low ratings this summer, ABC is renewing the summer drama MISTRESSES for 2016.



Another reboot in the works:
FOX television is working on rebooting yet another classic TV series, this time it's THE A-TEAM. The 80's action series would be brought into the 21st century, with both male and female team members.
