Primetime Cable Ratings: September 7, 2015

The big college football game, on ESPN, was by far the most watched program on Labor Day, cable or broadcast. The Ohio State v Virginia Tech game drew 10.6 million viewers and a 3.8 rating in Adults 18-49. It has a strong chance of topping FEAR THE WALKING DEAD as the week's top cable program.

The premiere of LOVE & HIP HOP HOLLYWOOD didn't exactly take over where the ATLANTA edition left. The 2.4 million viewers and 1.3 demo rating is down one million viewers and off by 24% in the demo, from last Monday's ATL episode.

FX got good traction with its EMPIRE marathon, with two episodes making the top 15. The third primetime episode finished 18th. FX averaged 1.4 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating, over the three primetime hours of the marathon.
