Preliminary Ratings: Friday 09/25/15

ABC and CBS split leadership on the first Friday night of the new season, with ABC taking all three demographic categories and second in total viewers. The season premiere of LAST MAN STANDING hauled in 6.3 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49. That is down 15% in the demo and a little less than 10% in viewership, from last year's premiere. SHARK TANK was the #1 show of the night in the young demographic categories. The 1.6 score in the A18-49 category is down 10% from 2014.

CBS was second in all three demos but first in total viewers. It won all three hours in viewership, took the 8 p.m. hour in the demos and tied ABC in the 10 p.m. hour. The three season premieres were mixed in year-to-year comparisons. THE AMAING RACE was flat, HAWAII FIVE-O was down and BLUE BLOODS was up, in the A18-49 demos.

FOX was all encores on the night and NBC elected to hold off its Friday night line up. The CW did relatively well on the night, about its summer averages
