Late Night Ratings: September 24, 2015
With the CBS late night lineup delayed by THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE challenged THE TONIGHT SHOW for the top ratings of the night. Just one tenth of a precent separated the two shows in total house holds and a tenth of a point in the A18-49 demo ratings. It looks like THE LATE SHOW VIEWERS jumped to ABC until it came on, sometime after midnight. Oddly, it was THE LATE SHOW that had the best Household share of the three shows.
The late start helped THE LATE LATE SHOW and hurt LATE NIGHT. Just one tenth of a percent was the difference between the two shows, with LATE NIGHT posting its lowest numbers of the week. It also didn't help that it was a hot news day and NIGHTLINE lead the 12:30 slot with a 1.6 household rating. I suspect NIGHTLINE will win again on Friday night, with all the news events of earlier in the day.
