NBC orders comedy:
Michael Schurer, executive producer of PARKS & REC and BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, has received a 13 episode order for an untitled series.
SESAME STREET is moving:
The long running children's program, SESAME STREET is moving to HBO. The premium cable network is beefing up its children's programming by becoming the new home to new SESAME STREET episodes, for the next five seasons. [LINK]
THE GRINCH has a new home too:
The classic holiday special, HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, is moving to NBC for the next three years. The network will have the 1967 classic through the 2017 holiday season, airing twice in each year.
More NINJA WARRIOR:
NBC has renewed the competition series, AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR, for a fifth season.
ABC adds primetime NBA games:
Staring in January, ABC will begin an eight week stretch of presenting NBA games, on Saturday Night. This should par nicely with ABC's fall coverage of College Football, establishing a consistent night of primetime sports, on broadcast TV.
More JIMMY FALLON:
NBC has signed a new deal with Jimmy Fallon, to keep him as host of THE TONIGHT SHOW through 2021.
New LION KING series coming:
Disney is readying the series THE LION GUID: RETURN OF THE ROAR for early 2016. The series is a spinoff of the movie franchise, THE LION KING, focusing on the son of Simba, and his team of friends, known as the Lion Guard.
