Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 08/12/15
CBS and NBC battled it out for the top spot, in Wednesday's nightly ratings. NBC, with AMERICA'S GOT TALENT leading the way, drew more viewers and edged CBS in the A18-49 and A25-54 demographic categories. CBS was just 400k behind NBC in total viewers, and tied NBC in the A18-34 demographic.
AMERICA'S GOT TALENT saw nice gains, week-to-week, rising 1.3 million viewers and at least one tenth of a ratings point in each of the three key demographic areas. MR. ROBINSON held mostly steady, but a drop of a million viewers, from one episode to the next, is concerning. But, it held steady in the three demo categories.
Although BIG BROTHER was second to AMERICA'S GOT TALENT in total viewers, it was the #1 program in each of the three demographic categories. However, only the A25-54 demo saw a rise in the numbers, over last week.
FOX's new series HOME FREE appears to be doing relatively well, drawing three million viewers for the first time and grabbing the most viewers in the time slot, since the end of June.
The CW appears to have had a really good night, with both shows posting a 20% rise, week-to-week. But I expect the finale ratings to drop significantly as MLB game(s) may have preempted the network, in a couple of markets.
