Complete Nielsen Ratings: July 27 - Aug. 2, 2015
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #91:
It was a tight, but low rated week, in the weekly ratings, as ABC, NBC and CBS score within two tenths of a ratings point, in the A18-49 demographic and the A25-54 demographic ratings. CBS still dominates in total viewers and households, but NBC was not far behind in those numbers.
CBS places six programs in this week's top ten, including 60 MINUTES (#2) and ZOO (#8). The network had a total of 18 shows in the top 30, with BIG BROTHER placing all three editions within the top 15. The network does well, giving viewers reliable encores, but lacks the "big gun" program, like a AMERICA'S GOT TALENT or THE BACHELORETTE.
NBC still leads in the younger demographic ratings. thanks to two editions of AGT, at #1 and #6. AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR (#11) and LAST COMIC STANDING (#12) are also doing well in the ratings, but after that, it gets a little thin, outside of the many editions of DATELINE. NBC only had 15 different shows this week, compared to CBS' 24 shows and ABC's 22 shows. The two hour format, for hit summer series, are what is driving NBC.
It was mostly THE BACHELORETTE that drove the averages to there levels, for ABC. It and the AFTER THE ROSE special, were the only two ABC shows in the top 25. An encore of SHARK TANK and a new episode of THE ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB complete ABC's list of top 30 programs. The lack of new episodes of CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD and BATTLEBOTS was felt across the ratings chart, this week.
FOX continues to do horrible numbers. MASTERCHEF (#22) is the network's only to 50 entry. Twelve of the network's 17 programs this week, placed 64th, or lower, on the chart.
PENN & TELLER (#29) entered the top 30, in the A18-34 demographic
