Ratings Review: CASTLE (Season Seven)

CASTLE has been a staple on ABC, Monday nights at 10 p.m., for the past six seasons. It has pretty much been the lone series to benefit from the huge lead in number that DANCING WITH THE STARS has provided, with mixed analysis on its success in the prime time slot. Love or hate the series, you don't make it through 7+ seasons on lead in numbers, alone.

CASTLE's Live+SD averages saw total viewership at 7.75 million and the A18-49 demographic at a 1.4 rating, for the 29 airings, including six encore episodes. Without the repeats, the averages were 8.50 million viewers and a 1.6 demo rating.

In the Live+7 rating, those Averages rose tot a total of 12.56 million viewers (+48%) and a 2.6 rating (+63%) in the demo. Season eight could be the last for CASTLE, as it was down to the wire signing the stars to new contracts for 2015-16.
