Final Broadcast Ratings: May 4, 2015
CBS's farewell to David Letterman did good, but not great ratings, on Monday evening. The 90 minute special did win the 10 p.m. hour, but pulled in ratings that were no better than a new NCIS: LA episode. It was the most watched program on CBS, but CBS was no better than a 3rd place network, on the night.
ON FOX, the season finale of GOTHAM perked up in the ratings, with 4.9 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in the A18-49 demographic. That is the best numbers the series has pulled in since March 2nd, the last original of the winter block of episodes. However, THE FOLLOWING lost all momentum GOTHAM brought to it, and did worse this week, than last.
ABC was the night's most watched network, with 11.0 million viewers and was just 15% behind NBC in the A18-49 ratings. DANCING WITH THE STARS was the most watched program, but was down, week-to-week, by over one million viewers and 5% in the demo. Currently, CASTLE is up a tenth in the A18-49 demo, but should drop that gain once finals are released, this evening.
NBC was tops in the A18-49 and A25-54 ratings, but THE VOICE posted its worst monday night ratings of the season. Just a 2.3 in the A18-49 demo, down over 10% from last week's number. Viewership was also off by 600,000 viewers, over last week.
