CW Weekly Ratings: May 4 - 8, 2015

The CW made a wise decision, after the previous week's ratings were released. The axed CEDRIC'S BARBER BATTLE after just a few short week's on the air. In its place, WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? moves to 8 p.m., with encores at 8:30. The result is a doubling of the ratings at 8 p.m. and an improvement of the numbers, at 8:30 p.m. However, the move did nothing to help out THE MESSENGERS, at 9 p.m.

Speaking of THE MESSENGERS, it earned its cancelation stripes, this week, as it was easily the lowest rated, least viewed program on The CW. When you can do worse than REIGN, you do not need to return. of course, the renewal of REIGN does confuse me.

For the week, The CW averaged 1.57 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in Adults 18-49. The week of May 11th is when most of the network's shows are airing their season finales, so we could see a nice bump, next week, in the weekly numbers.
