Ratings Review: THE MENTALIST (Season Seven)

After seven season, we say good-bye to one of the more fun crime dramas on TV, THE MENTALIST. Over the seven seasons, the series was placed in five different time slots, with Thursday night's at 10 p.m. being the longest slot.

THE MENTALIST has been one of the few network series to get that "final season" order to help wrap up the series, even though it was a candidate for cancelation, a year earlier.  The ratings were mediocre, but it did allow CBS to have a decent program fill the Wednesday, at 8 p.m., time slot while SURVIVORS was in between seasons.

For the season, THE MENTALIST averaged 9.21 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the A18-49 demographic ratings, for Live+SD numbers. The Live+7 ratings rose to 11.75 million viewers and a 1.9 demo rating.
