  • SAUL sets cable record
  • Sling TV now available to anyone

Better Call Saul sets premiere record:
Sunday night's series premiere of BETTER CALL SAUL, on AMC, drew a record 4.4 million viewers in the A18-49 rating, topping both series debuts of DEADWOOD (3.7 million) and THE WALKING DEAD (2.7 rating). A total of 6.9 million viewers watched the opening episode.



UNFORGETTABLE is the undead of TV shows:
Twice cancelled by CBS, the crime drama UNFORGETTABLE is getting yet another life. A&E reviving the series  for a 13 episode, fourth season.



Legend of Zelda TV series:
Netflix is developing a live action series based on the LEGEND OF ZELDA video games. It still in the early stages, so no release date for the first season has been announced.



ABC Family cancels veteran comedy:
MELISSA & JOEY has been cancelled by ABC Family, after four season.



HBO Renews series for final season:
The low rated series, GETTING ON, has been renewed for a final third season, consisting of six episodes.



L+3 ratings for FRESH OFF THE BOAT:
Last week's two episode series premiere of the new ABC series FRESH OFF THE BOAT are out and not looking too bad. The 8:30 p.m. episode rose 1.9 total viewers and eight tenths of a ratings point, in the demo, to 9.8 million viewers and a 3.3 demo rating. The 9:30 episode rose by the same numbers, for a total of 9.3 million viewers and a 3.1 demo rating.



Sling TV out of Beta and adds more to services:
Add AMC to the list of available networks on the new OTT services, Sling TV. The service will also add a bundles of additional channels for $5 per bundle. There is a Kids Bundle, with five channels, a Sports Bundle, with nine channels and a News & Info bundle, consisting of HLN, DIY, Cooking and Bloomberg. Nw anyone can sign up with the services, at Sling.com.



Walton Goggins secures new gig:
Lead bad guy on the FX series JUSTIFIED, Walton Goggins, has his next acting gig lined up at HBO. The new series, a comedy, is VICE PRINCIPALS. Al so starring in the comedy is Shea Whigham (BOARDWALK EMPIRE) and Busy Phillips (COUGAR TOWN)
