CW Weekly Ratings: February 2 - 6, 2015
It was a relatively flat week for the CW. Some shows were up, while other were down. But the order of success mostly stayed the same. The top shows of the network were, once again, ARROW and THE FLASH, while the REIGN continues to struggle in its sophomore season.
ARROW posted a season high, for anon-crossover episode, in the A18-49 ratings. It has begun to benefit having THE FLASH audience stick with, or return to, the veteran series. Superheroes are the new direction of the network, if the network will just completely embrace it.
The once hot THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is now nothing more than just "another series" on the network. Although slightly higher, its numbers are right there with THE ORIGINALS, THE 100 and JANE THE VIRGIN. The tie to retire the long running series may be closer than some fans may want.
HART OF DIXIE is making a strong case to be renewed. On a night that usually produces poor ratings for dramas, DIXIE is beating REGIN, tying JANE THE VIRGIN and competing with THE 100.
What do you think? Should DIXE get a 2015-16 slot over any of the other three?
For the week, The CW averaged 1.77 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in Adults 18-49. Near identical to last week's numbers, and may be the levels for the winter portion of the season.
