NFL to go OTT:
The NFL is looking at a possibility of streaming regular season games. This will access to million of viewers who do not have traditional TV service, including a world wide audience. More details to come.



Cable TV Viewing down:
Viewers watching cable TV programming is down nearly 13%, year-to-year, according to a Gigaom.com article. Viacom networks saw the worst erosion, dropping 23% and Disney networks, like ESPN, dropped 7.5%.



USA picks up Sci-Fi series:
USA Network has given a green light to the science fiction series, COLONY. The series is described as if L.A was ruled by aliens. Ten episodes were ordered, but no details on when the series will premiere.



Sling TV adds new channel:
The newest OTT services has added Univision to is channel line up.



Live+3 Cable Ratings:
TruTV and SyFy networks released L+3 Day ratings.

IMPRACTICAL JOKERS (TruTV) - 2.0 million viewers, 1.4 demo rating (Jan 29)
WIZARD WARS (SyFy) - 1.68 million viewers, 0.6 demo rating (Jan 29)

Here are Live+7 Day ratings for some of the series airing on Turner cable networks.

MAJOR CRIMES (TNT) - 7.10 million viewers, 1.3 demo rating (Jan 12)
THE LIBRARIANS (TNT) - 6.30 million viewers, 1.7 demo rating (Jan 18), 2hrs
COLD JUSTICE (TNT) - 2.70 million viewers (Jan 16)
GROUND FLOOR (TBS) - 2.10 million viewers, 1.0 demo rating (Jan 13)
COUGAT TOWN (TBS) - 2.10 million viewers, 1.0 demo rating (Jan 13)



Kittens vs Puppies:
It was the PUPPY BOWL XI, on Animal Planet vs. KITTEN BOWL I, on Hallmark. The PUPPY BOW wins with a total of 2.8 million viewers to 1.3 million viewers.



CBS pulls freshman comedy:
The thursday night sitcom THE MCCARTHYS hass been pulled from the CBS schedule, effective immediately. Repeats of THE BIG BANG THEORY will air this week and next.
