Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 02/03/15
CBS had an easy time winning the first Tuesday night of the February sweeps. The network averaged 14.7 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in the A18-49 demographic. that nearly triples the second place network, ABC, in total viewers and is 50% above ABC and FOX's demo rating.
Not only did CBS have the three most watched shows of the night, along with three of the top 5 demo ratings, it was the only network to draw over 8 million viewers for a program. Each of the three crime dramas did drop a tick, from their last original episodes, three week's earlier.
SHARK TANK was the best show on ABC, and it was only a special airing. The other two series did little in the ratings, especially FOREVER. The freshman drama tied the cancelled MARRY ME for the lowest A18-49 rating, by any original episode, by a Big 4 network. ABC must be really regretting that early season Back-9 order now.
On FOX, MASTERCHEF JUNIOR was down a tenth of a point, in the demo, from last week's episode, but did finish 3rd in the hour. The two sitcoms were flat from their last outing, on Jan 13th.
NBC nearly lost to the CW, posting a 1.2 demo rating to The CW's 1.1 rating. NBC was 5th in the 8 p.m. hour and tied SUPERNATURAL in the 9 p.m. hour.
